Elizabeth was born and raised in Bethesda, Maryland, and is an alumnus of Walter Johnson High School. She studied french at George Washington University and the University of Maryland before pursuing cosmetology at Graham Webb Academy, where she graduated with honors.  Elizabeth was then recruited to teach cosmetology at her Alma Mater, which meant earning her Instructor Certification, while launching her career behind the chair at the Aveda Salon and Spa in Bethesda.  Simultaneously, she continued studying on her own to receive her accreditation as a Senior Cosmetologist.

Elizabeth worked at the Aveda Salon and Spa in Bethesda for over 15 years before moving to her own studio space at Lux Studios, also in Bethesda.  Elizabeth is known for her wash-and-wear haircuts, undone styles, and natural hair colors.   She believes in a collaborative approach to her work and emphasizes building on-going relationships.  Elizabeth's clients have described her as passionate, candid, and funny.
